“Captain Rose” – Some Spurs fans react to the team news vs Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media following Mauricio Pochettino’s team selection for tonight’s Carabao Cup quarter final tie against the Emirates.

As many Spurs fans were expecting and fearing, Harry Kane is only named amongst the substitutes. The striker is currently recovering from a cold and missed the group training session outdoors with the rest of his team mates yesterday.

With club captain Hugo Lloris rested completely and Kane on the bench, Pochettino has named left-back Danny Rose as the skipper for the North London derby.

Rose already has his named in Spurs folklore after scoring a sensational volley on his full Premier League debut against Arsenal at White Hart Lane back in 2010.

Paulo Gazzaniga is preferred to Michel Vorm in goal, the Argentine has stepped up and performed well when asked to do so whilst Lloris was injured earlier in the season.
