Tottenham Hotspur will be in the draw tonught for the second round of the Carling Cup.

Despite reaching last year’s final, after losing to Manchester United on penalities – Spurs find themselves in the hat for the second round for the first time in two years.

The 25 highest-ranked clubs, based on last season’s league places, have been seeded and so cannot face each other.

Seeded teams for second round draw:

Birmingham, Blackburn, Bolton, Bristol City, Burnley, Cardiff, Hull, Ipswich, Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Preston, QPR, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke, Sunderland, Swansea, Tottenham, Watford, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham, Wigan, Wolves.

Unseeded teams for second round draw:

Accrington, Barnsley, Blackpool, Bristol Rovers, Carlisle, Crystal Palace, Doncaster, Gillingham, Hereford, Huddersfield, Leeds, Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich, Peterborough, Port Vale, Rotherham, Scunthorpe, Southampton, Southend, Swindon, Tranmere, Coventry/Hartlepool, Macclesfield/Leicester, Nottingham Forest/Bradford.

  1. I’m a spurs fan so i’d like to face the club just down the road from me which is Leyton Orient… but i’d take anyone to be honest… As for this round, i see West Ham v Millwall written all over it

  2. Would probably like a nice home draw, but if not then being a Yorkshire Yid would like to see us play Huddersfield at the Galpharm, which I have a strange feeling will happen.

  4. Outstandingly good call Gard. What a fixture! Just wish it was at the Den. I am a Cardiff fan and im well happy with the our tie against Bristol.R. They will bring a few down to make the tie more interesting being only 30 mins over the bridge and its a good chance to renew old rivalry’s with the blue & white part of Bristol.
