Joe Rodon has made an interesting revelation about his time at Tottenham Hotspur, now that he is a regular in the Leeds XI.
Rodon arrived with a big reputation from Swansea in the summer of 2020, but never quite managed to get a consistent run in the starting eleven under any of the managers he had at the North London club.
The centre-back had loan spells at Rennes and Leeds, with the latter being particularly successful, after which the Yorkshire club bought him permanently in 2024.
Leeds paid £10m to sign Rodon from Spurs, and he has proven to be an excellent acquisition for the club so far.

Joe Rodon makes an admission about his feelings at Tottenham
The Wales international played a key role in Leeds’ Championship-winning campaign last term as they romped to promotion.
The 28-year-old has been a pillar of their defence in the Premier League this season, and he has now explained that he has remained fresh through his intense two-and-a-half years at Leeds, given that he barely played at Spurs.
Speaking on his time in North London, Rodon told The Athletic: “Then going to Spurs, I look at it in the sense of… you buy a new car, and I felt like I was just in a garage for four years, where I wasn’t used. Now it’s like I’m fresh (and) with Leeds. The last three years have been non-stop, but I feel fresh. It’s like I’m catching up on things I missed through that period.”
Were Spurs right to sell Rodon?
The centre-back has good reason to feel hard done by with the lack of opportunities at Spurs, and his prospects were not helped by the managerial changes during his time at N17.
However, it is fair to say that Rodon did not really set the world alight, and there was little in his loan spells to suggest that he was good enough for a side competing for European places.
Having said that, Leeds currently sit just three points off Tottenham in the Premier League table, and he could have the last laugh if he manages to finish above his former employers this term.
