Cesc Fabregas mocks Tottenham’s loss in classless Twitter post

Tottenham Hotspur came so close to their first ever Champions League trophy by reaching the final against all odds this season, but it wasn’t to be last night in Madrid.

Spurs conceded a penalty within the first minute of the crucial match, with Mo Salah smashing home from the spot to give the Reds an instant lead.

After Spurs failed to find an equaliser, Liverpool eventually picked them off and secured the victory with a late Divock Origi finish.

While Tottenham can leave Spain with their heads held high, they return to England with nothing but a set of runners up medals.

Arsenal legend and Chelsea player Cesc Fabregas was keen to point out this fact on Twitter just after the Spurs CL Final loss.

Fabregas reignited the Twitter beef he had with Spurs legend Graham Roberts, by stating that he had managed to win more from a studio than Spurs could on the pitch.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I could not care less about what any rival player or fan says about our club after that game. Tottenham played poorly, that happens. But they have done the fans and themselves proud by even reaching the Champions League final this season, and they should be reminded of that achievement on a daily basis.
