Chairman reveals there have been no offers for Spurs and Arsenal-linked star

Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has revealed the Foxes have not received any concrete proposal for rumoured Tottenham and Arsenal target Youri Tielemans.

Reports over the last couple of weeks have indicated that Spurs are still on the lookout for a creative playmaker (Evening Standard).

It was reported earlier this summer that Tielemans was one of the options that Antonio Conte’s men have their eye on (GiveMeSport).

The midfielder, who is into the final 12 months of his contract at the King Power Stadium (Transfermarkt), had admitted towards the end of last season that he wants to play in the Champions League next campaign (talkSPORT).

The Belgian international has also been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer (Football.London).

Srivaddhanaprabha has now confirmed that no club has made a bid for Tielemans so far in the transfer window.

When asked about the speculation over the midfielder’s future, the Leicester chairman said (via Fabrizio Romano): “It’s nothing. There haven’t been any offers yet. There hasn’t been anything concrete or a proposition yet.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I am not surprised at the lack of interest in Tielemans as the 25-year-old had quite a poor 2021/22 season. However, having said that, I would still take him at Tottenham as a squad player as he would be relatively inexpensive and has plenty of Premier League experience under his belt.
