Champions League draw in full: who Spurs could face

The Champions League group stage is nearly upon us again, and this year, Tottenham will be flying the flag for London on their own.

Chelsea and Arsenal failed to qualify for this year’s competition, hence bumping Spurs up from pot 3 to pot 2 this season.

These are the confirmed pots for today’s draw:

Pot 1: Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Lokomotiv Moscow

Pot 2: Borussia Dortmund, Porto, Manchester United, Shakhtar Donetsk, Benfica, Napoli, Tottenham, Roma

Pot 3: Liverpool, Schalke, Lyon, Monaco, CSKA Moscow, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Valencia

Pot 4: Viktoria Plzen, Club Brugge, Galatasaray, Young Boys, Inter Milan, Hoffenheim, Crvena zvezda, AEK Athens

The draw takes place at round 5pm UK time, live on BT Sport, and live streamed on UEFA’s website.

Thanks to an improved pot for this year’s group stage, a group of death is highly unlikely for Spurs, as it’s impossible to draw the likes of Real Madrid and Dortmund together again.

Dream draw: Lokomotiv Moscow, Tottenham, PSV, Crvena Zvezda

Worst case scenario: Barcelona, Tottenham, Monaco, Inter Milan
