Have something to tell us about this article?
We are in the most compeitive group. Qualification for the knockout stages is not impossible, but I am thinking that the knockout stages of the EL is more likely. Werder Bremen are ranked ninth, and only just failed to make it into Pot1, so it is effectively a case, that we have been drawn against two top seeds.
We are not out of it yet, but it wont be easy!
When do the fixtures come out?
If we can win all of our home matches then nothing else matters.
If we can also add a draw or two it will do.
Harry must learn to play 4-5-1 away in Europe & go for the draw.
Negative & not traditional but necessary. 3 DCMs & two good
wingers will be a handful IF we get THAT striker or if Crouch or
Pav become "da man" & lead the line well alone.
Benitez i have never rated: good but is he good enough?
IMHO Gerrard won the cup for him. He WILL tinker with
Inter as his pride demands it, & hopefully this could be
lethal as the Mourinho unit worked so well.
Twente beat Ajax with Jol which says more about Jol
than Twente IMO. Away will be the match that counts.
Werder have just had their guts ripped out by the loss
of Mezil but if they can find a replacement will
not be easy. If we can draw away…………
Win the group 15%
Second 50%
Europa 25%
Out 10%
