Champions League Draw: Spurs learn who they will face in the last sixteen

The draw for the last sixteen of the Champions League has just taken place in Nyon, Switzerland.

Having reached the final last season, Tottenham will now face RB Leipzig in the next round of the competition.

After finishing second in Group B behind Bayern Munich, Spurs had to face one of the winners of the other groups.

No team can play a club from their UEFA Champions League group or a side from the same national association which meant that another match against Bayern or another English team was not on the cards.

Jose Mourinho will see his side play the second leg away from home. The first legs are on February 18, 19, 25 or 26 and the returns are on March 10, 11, 17 or 18.

Spurs finished six points clear of Olympiacos to qualify as runners-up in Group B.

How Spurs booked their place in the knockout stages

Olympiacos (A) – 2-2
Bayern Munich (H) – 2-7
Red Star Belgrade (H) – 5-0
Red Star Belgrade (A) – 0-4
Olympiacos (H) – 4-2
Bayern Munich (A) – 3-1
