Tottenham Hotspur certainly don’t have a poor track record of sending young academy strikers to Millwall in order to gain first-team experience.
An inexperienced Harry Kane was afforded the same chance in his youth and now the Lilywhites have taken the decision to send Troy Parrott on the same path.
Parrott has been seen as the gem in the Spurs academy for the past year or so, earning both his full Tottenham debut and Premier League debut this season.
However, minutes were few and far between for the 19-year-old under both Pochettino and Mourinho, despite injuries to key forward players like Kane and Son.
Parrott only managed 11 appearances across all age levels last season, meaning that his time on the pitch was extremely lacking, even if he did score 11 goals in that time (TransferMarkt).
Some Spurs fans have now taken to Twitter to react to the news that their promising young forward has been given a chance to shine in the Championship next season.

Good luck, Troy ?
Will be following your progress over there, Millwall has been a good kickstarter for elite Spurs strikers anyway ?
