Charlie Eccleshare provides ‘expectation’ on Hugo Lloris future this season

Hugo Lloris looks set to remain a Tottenham Hotspur player for the upcoming season, according to Charlie Eccleshare.

Atalanta’s Pierluigi Golli is reported to be heading to Tottenham on an initial loan deal with the option to make the deal permanent (Fabrizio Romano).

Lloris is now within the last twelve months of his contract at Tottenham and is yet to sign a new deal.

The 34-year-old avoided answering a question about his future ahead of Euro 2020, instead claiming that he would reveal more after his involvement with the French national team had come to an end this summer (Nice-Matin).

The goalkeeper was heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in January, however, Mauricio Pochettino’s side decided instead to move for AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma instead earlier this month.

Lloris has been a brilliant servant for Spurs, having joined the club as a 25-year-old from Lyon in 2012. In fairness to the Frenchman, he remained patient in North London having played in multiple Europa League campaigns when he could have been playing Champions League football elsewhere.
