Charlie Nicholas on who will win between Spurs and Norwich City

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Norwich City later this evening.

Spurs host the Premier League strugglers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the home side looking for their first top flight win and goal in 2020.

Nicholas described the match as a must win for Mourinho’s side and claimed that the players are not currently enjoying their time in North London at present.

The Canaries come into the match having won just one of their last five Premier League matches which came in their last outing on Saturday against Bournemouth.

Spurs were held to a 2-2 draw at Carrow Road shortly after Christmas with a shaky defensive performance from the lilywhites gifting Norwich both goals.

Nicholas has tipped Tottenham to run out as comfortable winners and keep their second clean sheet in a row.

Mourinho has been boosted by the return of club record signing Tanguy Ndombele, who has returned to full first team training ahead of the match.

He told Sky Sports: “How many teams are rebuilding? Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham all are. I do not know what Jose Mourinho is doing differently. The Harry Kane injury is a blow but Tottenham have handled an injury to Kane in the past. Dele Alli stropped when he was brought off, while Norwich grinded out a win.

“It is a must-win scenario for Tottenham. Jose has been brought in to deliver the top four, and if he does not do this he will be seen as a failure. The Tottenham players do not look as though they are enjoying their time right now. They will win this one, and I see it being comfortable enough for Tottenham.

“Prediction: 2-0.”

Opinion

Less than three points will be the final coffin in Tottenham’s hopes of a top four finish, they need to start going on a run of form and it has to start against the Canaries.
