Charlie Nicholas predicts how Spurs will get on against Everton on Sunday

Tottenham Hotspur take on Everton on Sunday as they travel back to Merseyside for the second week in a row.

Spurs will be hoping that this time goes a little better than last, as the Lilywhites were outplayed and beaten by Liverpool at Anfield last weekend.

Tottenham have only won four games from a possible 14 so far this season, not a great return for a club who made the Champions League Final in June.

Having said that, Everton are having an even tougher time of it in the Premier League than Spurs, as they currently sit 16th in the table on 10 points. Spurs are five places and two points better off.

However, that does mean that a win for the Toffees would see them overtake the Lilywhites, while a much-needed win for Pochettino’s men could see them make up ground on the top four.

Charlie Nicholas has predicted another home 2-1 win for the Merseyside team.

He said (Sky Sports): ‘This is the game. There is no doubt that Marco Silva is under the most extreme pressure and the only reason he is hanging on is because of his home record. Mauricio Pochettino can take another hit as they are in the Champions League.

‘They did not play too badly at Liverpool, but the Tottenham issues are in defence and going forward. Does he have the right balance? Does Dele Alli deserve to be in the team? Why is Lucas Moura not playing?’
