Charlie Nicholas predicts who will win between Crystal Palace and Spurs

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has been sharing his thoughts ahead of the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow afternoon.

The top flight campaign comes down on what has been an eventful and disappointing season for Spurs having missed out on Champions League qualification for the first time in five years.

The former Arsenal player has claimed that Spurs did not deserve to beat his old side along with the matches against West Ham and Newcastle United after suggesting that Mourinho’s side have been less than impressive.

Crystal Palace have lost their last nine Premier League games against Tottenham, their longest ever losing streak against an opponent in their top-flight history.

Spurs striker Harry Kane has scored six goals in five appearances on the final day of Premier League seasons and will be looking to continue his impressive form last time out with his brace against Leicester.

Nicholas told Sky Sports: “I watched Crystal Palace against Chelsea and they did nothing until Wilfried Zaha brought them back into the game at 2-1, and then suddenly Zaha scored and they raised their game. If you are a team that makes few chances, Zaha’s not in good form, Andros Townsend’s been struggling and Christian Benteke does not score, you are not going to create chances.

“Spurs have not impressed me at all, but what they have done – and this is nothing to do with Jose Mourinho – is ground out results. They got a win against Arsenal and did not deserve it, a win against West Ham and I did not think they deserved that, they got a win at Newcastle, and I did not think they deserved that. But compliments to them, because they did it, and that’s how they have got themselves into this good place to qualify for the Europa League.

“I cannot see anything other than another defeat for Palace.

“Prediction: 1-2.”
