Charlton Athletic have turned down a pre-season friendly against Tottenham Hotspur due to financial worries.
According to a report in the South London Press, a friendly had already been verbally agreed between both clubs but the League One side have changed their mind due to high policing costs.
Although the game would have brought an healthy crowd, Charlton officials are said to have felt that the profits would not be enough to proceed with the game.
