A player who left Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season has been offered to Chelsea after the Blues missed out on a big signing late in the window.
Spurs and Chelsea did some deadline day business, with Tosin Adarabioyo and Mykhailo Mudryk moving to the Lilywhites, with the latter on loan with an option to buy.
Those were not the only two players the two London rivals discussed on deadline day, with reports indicating that the Blues also made a late enquiry for Lucas Bergvall.
While that was knocked back by Tottenham, it has now emerged that the West London club have been offered the chance to sign a former Spurs man, who left Roberto De Zerbi’s side just a few months ago.
Former Tottenham star Yves Bissouma offered to Chelsea
Yves Bissouma left Spurs as a free agent at the end of last season after Tottenham chose not to activate their one-year extension option in his contract.
The Sun have now revealed that the 30-year-old has been offered to Chelsea after they missed out on signing a replacement for Enzo Fernandez late in the window.
The Blues had agreed a deal to sign Monaco’s Lamine Camara in the dying stages of the window, but the Ligue 1 club eventually pulled out of the deal.
Bissouma has thus been offered as an option for Xabi Alonso’s side, with the former Spurs man continuing to look for a new club after spending four years in North London.
Two more European clubs also want Bissouma
The Sun reveal that the Mali international is also attracting interest from Ajax and Monaco, both of whom are scouring the market for a new midfielder.
However, it is revealed that Bissouma’s preference is to sign for another Premier League club, having spent the last eight years in England.
The outlet says that the former Tottenham man would be willing to accept a one-year deal along with an option for a one-year extension.
