Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of a highly-rated Spaniard has just got very complicated amidst the latest updates about his future.
Spurs have been linked with a number of centre-forwards over recent weeks, which is not a surprise, given the issues Thomas Frank’s men have upfront.
It emerged a couple of weeks ago that Tottenham have set their sights on a 21-year-old Porto striker, who has been turning a lot of heads since the start of last season.
The player in question is Samu Aghehowa, who Fabio Paratici has reportedly added to Spurs’ transfer wishlist, with the Italian expected to spearhead the North London club’s pursuit of the player in January.

Chelsea are prepared to spend big on Tottenham target Samu Aghehowa
It is now being reported by Fichajes that Chelsea have entered the race to sign the former Atletico Madrid man as the Blues look to add reinforcements to their forward line.
The report says that Porto have made it clear that Aghehowa is not for sale and that the club are only willing to let him go if his 100m (£86.8m) release clause is met.
However, it is asserted that the Blues are ready to pay the Spain international’s release clause next summer.
This is because they are desperate to add another reliable goalscorer to their squad and see the youngster as an investment for the future.
What is Aghehowa’s transfer stance?
Unlike the previous sources we quoted above, this report from Fichajes does not make any mention of Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in the centre-forward.
However, it is revealed that Aghehowo would be in favour of a move to England as he feels he is ready to test himself in the Premier League.
While Porto do not want to lose the Spain international, they have made it clear to the player that they would be willing to negotiate if an offer meets their financial expectations.
