Several new faces expected to arrive at Spurs in January

Over the last few days, Spurs Web has brought to you a number of reports from various reliable sources, who have all backed the Lilywhites to make several additions in January.

The latest to make that claim is TEAMtalk, who say that four new players could arrive through the door at Hotspur Way this month.

It is revealed that Spurs are prioritising singing a new goalkeeper, centre-back, winger and striker before the transfer window slams shut.

Centre-back Spurs want may prefer Chelsea instead

The report names Bournemouth’s Illya Zabarnyi and Lens’ Abdukodir Khusanov as two centre-backs who are at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist.

However, it is revealed that they face a lot of competition for the Ukraine international, who is on the radars of Man Utd and Chelsea.

The report states that as things stand a move to Stamford Bridge seems like ‘a more appealing option’ for the 22-year-old as he looks to swap Bournemouth for a bigger club.

Additionally, Zabarnyi is also thought to be attracting plenty of interest from La Liga clubs.

Lens’ stance on Abdukodir Khusanov explained

TEAMtalk claim that Spurs have been scouting Khusanov extensively over recent weeks and are big admirers of the Uzbekistan international.

The Lens coaching staff are said to be desperate to hold onto the 20-year-old at least until the end of the season as they do not want to lose a key man midway into the campaign.

However, Lens sporting director, Diego Lopez, is expected to cash in on the centre-back against the wishes of manager Will Still if a suitable offer comes in for the youngster.

The publication claims that an offer of around £25m is expected to be enough to clinch the deal for the defender.
