It is believed that Tottenham’s London rivals Chelsea are ready to make their move in signing Spurs target, Jack Grealish according to The Sun.

In what has been an annoyingly quiet transfer window for the Lilywhites, Jack Grealish has seemed the most realistic target on Daniel Levy’s shortlist with a reported £20m asking price.

This would not be the first time in which Chelsea would have stolen a player from under the nose of Spurs.

Not so long ago Willian was set for a move to the Lilywhites from Shakhtar Donetsk but in the eleventh hour the Brazilian diverted and moved to rivals, Chelsea.

In addition, Ross Barkley turned down a move to Spurs last summer in order to sign for Chelsea where he made a total of four appearances last season.

Jack Grealish has been linked with a move to north London for a number of months now but it does not appear a deal has moved any closer to completion.

Many reliable sources have reported the deal to bring Grealish to Tottenham is at the personal terms stage but this seems to have been the case for weeks now.

Even when Aston Villa faced serious financial problems are looked desperate to find some quick cash Spurs did not up their efforts to bring in the midfielder.

Grealish impressed last season as he helped Aston Villa to the Championship play-off final where the Villans tasted narrow defeat to Fulham.

But with only one week remaining for Daniel Levy to seal a deal, it looks like any deal will go right down to the wire in usual Levy style.
