Chelsea v Tottenham Team Line Ups: Ange makes van de Ven and Romero decision

The Tottenham Hotspur side has been confirmed for this evening’s Premier League match against Chelsea.

Tottenham have not played since the 2-0 defeat to Fulham on March 16th and now face a tough test against their London rivals at Stamford Bridge.

There is no doubt that Tottenham’s season rests on their success in the Europa League given their lowly fourteenth place position in the Premier League table has made qualifying for Europe through the league an almost impossible task.

The pressure is firmly on Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou to salvage a horrific 2024/2025 campaign, beginning with a win against Chelsea ahead of the crunch first leg at home to Eintracht Frankfurt next Thursday.

Tottenham’s next five fixtures in all competitions

Tottenham face a crunch handful of fixtures which will not only decide the fate of their season, but also likely whether Ange Postecoglou could be sacked by Spurs come the summer.

Given lowly Southampton are next up on Sunday, it will be likely that Postecoglou could decide to keep the likes of Micky van de Ven and Heung-min Son fresh for Frankfurt.
