Tottenham Hotspur have been incredibly consistent over the last four seasons, despite being extremely up against it in terms of cash and home ground.

Spurs have finished in the top three for the last three season in the Premier League, and have been rewarded with consistent Champions League football.

Despite not winning any trophies, Tottenham have most certainly now bridged the gap between top four challengers and top European regulars.

Spurs have a good chance of maintaining their top three record this season too, as they currently sit one point above Arsenal in third place.

Tottenham must continue their winning form in the new stadium if they are to cement this position, with four more homes games to play this season.

Spurs have been so impressive in recent years under Mauricio Pochettino that even Eden Hazard of Chelsea has admitted that they are one of the best teams in the country.

He said (Express): “Tottenham for two or three years have been one of the best teams in England.

“I don’t like that, but we have to accept it. For the Premier League it is good – new stadium, top players.

“But Chelsea, we won a lot of trophies. They have not. I hope this continues.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Chelsea have 30 trophies against Spurs 26. Before their laundered Russian billions Chelsea were no where near Spurs, infact they were a yoyo club, and now the cash cow’s ready to jump ship. The logistics of expanding that one side of their stadium backed up by a railway line and the bridge will make it as near expensive as Spurs stadium build, so that isn’t happening any time soon. Only a matter of time before Spurs are back infront again trophy wise, as they have been for the majority of both clubs’ history. Atleast Chelsea have the motivation to chase for the Europa that Spurs never had when they were in it.
