Chris Sutton identifies the Spurs player Arsenal should target

Former Blackburn Rovers footballer Chris Sutton has pinpointed one Tottenham Hotspur player that Arsenal should decide to focus on.

Sutton, who now works as a football pundit believes that Spurs defender Juan Foyth can make mistakes under pressure.

Foyth gave way two penalties on his Premier League debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers which made for a nervy 3-2 win for Mauricio Pochettino’s side after previously leading 3-0 at Molineux.

Despite being impressed with the young Argentine during his man of the match display at Crystal Palace last month, Sutton still feels that Arsenal could be prone to errors.

Juan Foyth

It remains to be seen if Foyth will be named in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line up for the North London derby against Arsenal tomorrow following the return to fitness of Jan Vertonghen following a hamstring injury.

Vertonghen came back into the side to partner Toby Alderweireld for the midweek Champions League win against Inter Milan at Wembley after Foyth was ineligible for the match after not being named in Tottenham’s squad for the competition.

“I was impressed by Juan Foyth’s display at Crystal Palace,” Sutton wrote in The Daily Mail.

“But the young defender can be pressured into a mistake. He conceded two penalties at Wolves and could be a player Arsenal try to target.”
