Chris Sutton has revealed what he expects to happen when Chelsea visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
Spurs are sitting third in the table while Chelsea come into the game sitting eighth in the standings, and under normal circumstances, one would think that Tottenham fans will be confident of getting a result at home.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 9 | 7 | 1 | 1 | 16 | 3 | 13 | 22 | |
| 2 | 9 | 5 | 3 | 1 | 16 | 11 | 5 | 18 | |
| 3 | 9 | 5 | 2 | 2 | 17 | 7 | 10 | 17 | |

| 5 | 9 | 5 | 1 | 3 | 17 | 7 | 10 | 16 |
However, that is not the case and for good reason: Tottenham’s home form has been relegation-battle worthy this season, with the Lilywhites not having won at their stadium since the opening day.
Spurs also have a poor record against Chelsea over the last few years, and Thomas Frank will be desperate for his side to put that right and to deliver a performance in front of their supporters.

Chris Sutton says Tottenham’s clash against Chelsea is too close to call
Sutton admitted that neither side is at the zenith at the moment, suggesting that the Blues have been very ‘flaky’ over recent weeks.
He suggested that Tottenham’s long injury list is taking a toll on Frank’s side and predicted that the two sides would play out a score draw.
Speaking about Saturday evening’s fixture, the pundit told BBC Sport: “This is always a bit of a grudge game because the two sets of fans don’t really like each other. Chelsea need the result more, and they also have a much better record in this fixture, but their home defeat against Sunderland was another example of how flaky they are at the moment.
“Tottenham have made a better start to the season, but it still feels like there is more to come from them when their injured players come back – which won’t happen this week. I don’t really know which way to go with my prediction, so I am going to go for a draw. I feel like I am turning into AI.”
Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Chelsea
Spurs desperately need a win to silence Thomas Frank’s critics
Even though the Lilywhites are sitting in third place, Frank has come under plenty of criticism for some of his decisions.
The main gripe of the Tottenham fans is that the team does not seem capable of creating chances consistently.
A win against Chelsea on Sunday will mean that the Carabao Cup loss to Newcastle in midweek will be forgotten, but another defeat at home will really pile the pressure on the Danish coach.
