Tottenham legend Chris Waddle has weighed in on what Harry Kane’s next move should be as speculation continues about the striker’s future at Bayern Munich.
It has been reported by a number of outlets that Tottenham want to make Kane their marquee signing in the post-Daniel Levy era, with ENIC keen to signal their ambition.
According to reports, Spurs are hoping to pull on Kane’s heartstrings by selling the prospect of a fairytale return to N17, but it remains to be seen if that would appeal to the striker.
In fact, the England captain has suggested that he could stay at Bayern Munich beyond the end of the season.

Tottenham may not even want to bring Harry Kane back
Even if the 32-year-old decides to leave Bavaria next summer, it is not guaranteed that Spurs will be his next destination.
This is because Barcelona are thought to be extremely keen on taking Kane to Camp Nou, with Hansi Flick thought to have identified the former Tottenham man as the ideal heir to Robert Lewandowski.
Spurs legend Chris Waddle has said that if he were in Kane’s shoes, he would prefer to move to Barca or Real Madrid rather than return to N17.
When asked about the speculation over the striker’s future, Waddle told AS: “I know it sounds good to hear that Kane could return to Tottenham. But I’m not sure Spurs would want him at that age and for that price.
“Even if another club were interested, I don’t know if Bayern would let him go. They let [Robert] Lewandowski go to Barcelona at that age, and he went on to score goals nonstop.
“Perhaps Harry thinks he’s accomplished his mission in England, and perhaps he’ll soon feel the same way about Germany. Now, Spain, Italy, or France might appeal to him. Bayern is huge, but Real Madrid is even bigger. What a story that would be!
“If I were Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Milan, I’d ask myself: Why not Kane? He scores goals, he’s technically gifted, and he can play as a centre-forward or an attacking midfielder.
“If I were Harry, I’d prefer to try my luck in Spain rather than return to England. A good goalscoring record would be nice, but his track record in England speaks for itself.”
Spurs hierarchy are not losing hope of Kane reunion
Despite the increasing difficulty of a Kane reunion, the Tottenham top brass have seemingly not lost hope of making it happen.
It has been reported that Spurs would be willing to break the bank to re-sign their record goalscorer next summer.
Two weeks ago, TEAMtalk claimed that Tottenham insiders continue to believe that Kane will return to the club next summer.
They allegedly are of the opinion that the striker wants to wear the white shirt again and become the greatest goalscorer in Premier League history by beating Alan Shearer’s record.
