In typical Sunday newspaper transfer gossip fashion, Christian Eriksen is being linked with a move to Barcelona.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the Catalan giants have targeted the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder as one of the summer transfer targets.
Eriksen notched his 20th assist in all competitions yesterday, which is the most in the top 5 European Leagues. Barcelona are desperate to sign a creative player who can supply opportunities to Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez after being dumped out of the Champions League by Juventus.
The paper claims that Barcelona could even use their former player and fellow Dane Brian Laudrup to act as a go between to try and convince the 25-year-old to move to the Nou Camp.
Tottenham fans will be reassured in the fact that Eriksen only signed a new contract last September which keeps him at the club until 2020.
