Christian Eriksen sets Tottenham a huge Premier League challenge under Thomas Frank

Tottenham fans will love what Christian Eriksen has said about what the club can achieve under Thomas Frank.

The new Tottenham boss has already discovered that the pressure and scrutiny associated with managing the Lilywhites is very different to what he experienced at Brentford.

Even though Spurs are just a point away from a top-four spot in the Premier League and are unbeaten in the Champions League, many have already questioned Frank’s methods at Tottenham.

The new Spurs boss has also had to deal with an extremely bloated injury list, but he has been afforded no sympathy by the media, given Tottenham’s poor home record this season.

Christian Eriksen wants Tottenham to compete for the Premier League title

Eriksen was part of Spurs sides under Mauricio Pochettino that came close to winning the Premier League and the Champions League.

The attacking midfielder, who worked with Frank during his six-month loan spell at Brentford in 2022, believes the Lilywhites can scale similar heights under his compatriot.

Eriksen said on Tottenham in the matchday programme vs Copenhagen (04/11/25): “I hope they do really well this season. With Thomas in charge, it would be great to see Spurs take it up a level and start to get close to winning the Premier League.

“That’s the ultimate ambition for Spurs, to win the Premier League. Obviously, there’s work to do, but it’s something the fans, the club would love one day.”

What should be Spurs’ realistic aim this season?

Before the start of the season, Frank announced that he wants Tottenham to be competitive in all four competitions, pointing out that the club have not achieved that since 2019.

This is a transitional season for Spurs, given the change in management and the significant player turnover in the summer.

Reaching the final eight of the Champions League and finishing in the top six in the Premier League will represent a decent season for the Lilywhites, and they are on course to achieve that.
