Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has sent a message from his hospital bed to provide an update to well wishers from across the world.
The Danish international was given emergency CPR on the pitch after collapsing just before half-time in Saturday’s game against Finland in Euro 2020 as a result of a cardiac arrest.
The 29-year-old was taken to Rigshospitalet, a hospital near Parken Stadium in Copenhagen where he still remains to undergo further tests.
Eriksen revealed in a Tweet which was posed by the Danish FA that he feels fine given the circumstances which he has been through and will be cheering on his country in their upcoming matches, starting with Belgium on Thursday.
The Inter Milan midfielder also expressed his thanks to everyone who has sent him and his family their support following the traumatic incident.
The Group B match restarted almost two hours after Eriksen collapsed, and Finland won 1-0.
