Tottenham Hotspur are expected to spend big this summer, after successful runs in the Premier League and Champions League bringing them some impressive winnings.

One report from the Sun has suggested that Pochettino will be given a £100m warchest to spend on new players.

However, it could also come down to whether Tottenham can keep their existing stars, as the rumours surrounding Christian Eriksen’s future continue to grow (Daily Mail).

Eriksen has just one year left on his current deal, and if Spurs cannot agree on a new contract, then they will have to choose whether to sell up for a profit or risk losing him on a free.

Tottenham are just two days away from a Champions League final, and many of the players have been giving interviews to the press ahead of the big day.

However, Football London report that Christian Eriksen cut one interview short and walked out after talk turned to his future. He allegedly said: “Not talking about that. Final focus.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

I get the feeling that Eriksen is on the way out this summer. And, to be honest, as long as the club get a decent fee, I’m okay with it. He is an incredible player, and has done the shirt proud. As long as Spurs get the deal done early and reinvest the money on another playmaker, I can accept his departure.

  1. Ridiculous “feeling” Seb. Woodward in his typical slimy style (see last summer – Alderweireld and Rose). has stated that he would treble Eriksens salary. One can’t blame Eriksen for wanting to see if such an offer materializes but it would also be ridiculously bad form for Levy to negotiate based on Woodward “smoke & mirrors” RM is also said to be interested but Zidane is now linked to a dozen players- only outdone by Woodward. If by June 5 or 6 – no offer appears, Eriksen will likely sign a new deal with Spurs. Christian has received incredibly bad advice from his entourage- Too bad- It has cost him a fair bit of money. If any offers come forward in the first week of June; Levy will consider both the offer (to Spurs) and the terms (to Eriksen). There is a very good possibility that Levy will simply match the player terms and extend Eriksen’s contract for 4 years.

  2. Sorry, I thought £100m meant £100 MILLION or have I got it wrong. The size of Tottenham’s transfer budget is pure and total speculation on the part of all the ‘so called’ experts and ‘people in the know’ around the web. Let’s wait and see what happens after Saturday is over shall we!

  3. Totally agree that Spurs will move on without him. In many BIG games, he has little to no impact. Does nothing defensively besides run cause some minor interference. Fortunately he stuffed his stats so that Spurs can get a decent fee for him.

I saw a piece on Lo Celso….that’s where some of the money should go.

  4. It would fit the Levy model to cash in on such a player. If he stays great, if he goes hes earned our respect and I would like to see James Maddison or similar come in.

  5. I agree with seb. He’s done us proud but if we get £100m+ that’s £200m+ to spend. Even if it’s just 1 superstar or 2 that’s all we need. In my opinion if we could, I’d get two new first team full backs (Chigwell and wan bissaka) and a Def mid (Ndombele) that’s us sorted. I would also renew Llorente contract.

  6. So silky on the ball, but does he honestly impose himself in big games? Just not strong enough for me and needs to get stuck in. Hope he makes me eat my words tomorrow. Do not feel he would really be a big loss. Swap him for Bale in an instant if RM really want him. COYS!
