Christian Eriksen takes to Twitter to react to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joining Tottenham

Christian Eriksen has taken to Twitter to share his reaction after Tottenham Hotspur completed the transfer of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Eriksen left Tottenham in January in a £16.9million move with his contract set to expire at the end of the season (BBC).

The Dane made 305 appearances for the North Londoners after joining from Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2013 (transfermarkt).

Eriksen, who is an international team-mate of Hojbjerg’s claimed that Tottenham know how to take care of Danish players whilst wishing the midfielder good luck with his move.

Hojbjerg joined from Southampton in a deal which is said to be worth £15million and has put pen to paper on a five year contract (Evening Standard).

He becomes the club’s first signing of the summer after what is believed to have been a number of weeks of negotiations between the two Premier League clubs.

The 25-year-old will wear the number 5 jersey which became available following Jan Vertonghen’s departure last month.
