CIES reveal who Tottenham’s most valuable player is – Son is not in the top three

CIES Football Observatory have calculated the 100 most expensive players in world football at present, with three of Tottenham’s stars making the list.

The model says that Tottenham’s most valuable player at the moment is Dejan Kulusevski, who is projected to have a market value of €104m (£86m).

The Swede does not come anywhere close to the top ten, with Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham said to be the most valuable player in the world at €267m (£230m).

Interestingly though, Kulusevski is more valuable than Harry Kane according to the model, with the former Tottenham man given a market value of €95.6m (£82m).

How valuable is Son in the current transfer market?

Neither Son Heung-min nor James Maddison make it to the top 100, with the latter perhaps missing out because of his age.

The second most valuable player in the Tottenham squad is said to be Desinty Udogie, who is said to be worth €78.3m (£67.4m) while Cristian Romero comes in third at €71.4m (£61.5m).

Spurs Web Opinion

All of these numbers are susceptible to a lot of change and many of these players would likely fetch more if they are put on the market. In fact, I fully expect the values of a whole host of Tottenham players to have increased significantly by the end of this campaign.
