According to SkySports, Manchester City are prepared to begin negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur over the transfer of Kyle Walker.
The 27 year old has been linked with a move to the blue side of Manchester for months, with most papers reporting a £40 million price-tag placed on the right-back by Spurs.
Recently, many news outlets revealed that Tottenham had since cranked that figure up to £60 million, as the move looked increasingly more likely to happen.
Now, a report from SkySports suggests that a deal could begin to take shape in a matter of days, following England’s friendly against France tonight, in which Walker is likely to earn another cap.
Walker signed a new contract with Tottenham in September just last year, but is rumoured to be disappointed over missing key fixtures last season, due to the rotation system in place with team-mate and number rival, Kieran Trippier.
Manchester City are tipped to be able to land the pacey full-back on the promise of regular first team football as well as a massive increase in pay.
Walker has been with Tottenham for 8 years and, according to Skysources, is understood not to be pressuring the senior management for a transfer.
Whether a move will take place is yet to be seen. Do you think he’ll stay or go?
