Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction after it was confirmed that Sunday’s Premier League fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion has been postponed.
The North Londoners confirmed in a statement on the official website earlier this evening that the match will be rearranged following a significant number of positive COVID-19 cases among the squad and backroom staff.
The outbreak has also seen the first-team training area of the club’s Hotspur Way training facility closed following discussions with consultation with the Premier League and UK Health Security Agency.
It was also confirmed this morning that the Europa Conference League match between Tottenham and Stade Rennais would not take place this evening.
Tottenham’s next match is scheduled to take place next Thursday evening when they travel to Leicester City in the Premier League.
Here is a selection of reaction from the North London faithful on the decision for the match at the Amex to be played at a later date.
Take care of yourself and get back in shape. COYS🤍

Nice statement but clearly Rennes showed absolutely no understanding whatsoever

Can we get some early clarity on Leicester too please. Clearly the situation will be the same for that game too, so please just do that early!

Tottenham will have 2 games in hand Burnley and Brighton two very manageable match’s but the problem will be finding time to make them up as well as the rennes match

Good.
Of course, now I have to spend time talking to my family. But still. Good.— Jarrett Bellini (@JarrettBellini) December 9, 2021
