Some Spurs fans on social media admitted that they could not forget Tottenham’s performance this evening soon enough after Jose Mourinho’s men played out a 3-3 draw against LASK.
Going into the game, Tottenham needed just a point to seal a place in the knockout stages of the Europa League and Mourinho named a strong team for the match.
The Spurs boss started with a midfield three of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele for the first time this season but the Lilywhites failed to take control of proceedings from start to finish.
While Joe Hart would have been disappointed with his part in two of LASK’s goals, a draw is the least that the home side deserved as they posed a constant threat to the Spurs defence throughout the game.
Some Spurs fans were critical of the players and the effort they showed this evening, while others were a bit more pragmatic as they were ready to forget the match and move on after Tottenham did enough to seal their place in the next stage of the competition.
