Club believe they are in the driving seat to sign Tottenham player – Journalist reports

Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has claimed that the Bayern Munich hierarchy do not fear competition from Paris Saint-Germain for Harry Kane.

Plettenberg has taken to social media to state that the Bayern bosses do not think there is any danger of PSG hijacking a deal for Kane as they believe that the striker would ‘only’ join them.

The journalist suggests that Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and the club’s technical director Marco Neppe are set to meet with Daniel Levy again, and plan on conducting negotiations with ‘total respect’.

Plettenberg adds that the next days are ‘crucial’ in Bayern’s efforts to snap up the England captain.

PSG are not seen as a threat by Bayern in Kane race

This update comes just a couple of days after The Telegraph claimed that some believe that Daniel Levy would prefer to sell Kane to PSG as they would offer a bigger fee.

However, it was asserted that the 29-year-old would not give the green light for a switch to the French capital.

It is clear that Kane has had his heart set on a move to the German club for quite a while, which perhaps explains the confidence that various Bayern officials have had about getting the deal over the line.
