Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed that rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target, Diachi Kamada, will leave the club when his contract runs out at the end of the season.
Kamada has been a vital cog in Frankfurt’s midfield ever since first joining the club in 2017 and the attacking midfielder is now having his most productive season in front of goal, having found the back of the net 13 times to go with his five assists so far in 2022-23 (Transfermakrt).
With the Japanese international’s contract at Deutsche Bank Park about to run out, his future has been the subject of much speculation over recent months.
90 min reported back in February that a number of clubs in the Premier League and around Europe, including Spurs, were exploring a move for the attacking midfielder.
The publication named Manchester City and Newcastle United, as well as Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, as clubs who could potentially challenge the Lilywhites for Kamada’s signature if he does not sign a new deal in Germany.
Tottenham’s pursuit of the midfielder has now been boosted, with Frankfurt confirming that their star man will be leaving at the end of the season.

Spurs Web Opinion
There is no question that Tottenham need an attacking midfielder this summer and I would expect the club to perhaps have Kamada as a backup option in case a move for James Maddison does not prove fruitful.
However, I worry that other clubs will steal a march on us in the race for the likes of Maddison and Kamada, given that we do not have a full-time head coach at the moment.
