Club legend claims Spurs star has been most consistent in PL over last 18-months

Graham Roberts has called Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris the most consistent goalkeeper in the Premier League and labelled the Frenchman’s performances as ‘nothing short of outstanding’.

The 35-year-old has been ever-present for Spurs in the league this season and is continuing to show his quality at the top level despite his age.

However, Lloris’ fine form in goal has not come without concern, given that he has entered the final six months of his current deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But following Antonio Conte’s recent comments of wanting to keep the goalkeeper on board and part of his future plans, Spurs are said to have opened talks over a one-year extension ending in June 2023.

As such, Spurs legend Roberts took to Twitter to claim that Lloris has been one of Premier League’s most consistent shot-stoppers and lauded the France international’s performances over the last 18 months.

Lloris has usually been one of Spurs’ most consistent performers and the team has called on him on a number of occasions for a bail-out.

The contract issue looks to be moving in the right direction now which is really positive news as it means the goalkeeper situation is sorted for another season t least.
