Club officially confirm September event at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham have confirmed that Unified Heavyweight Champion of the World Anthony Joshua will put his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO World Titles on the line against Oleksandr Usyk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September.

Joshua is the heavyweight division’s biggest attraction, having sold-out stadiums and arenas around the world.

The fighter now returns to London to face his latest WBO mandatory challenger for the first time since scoring a ninth-round knockout against Kubrat Pulev at The SSE Arena, Wembley last time out in December.

The fight will take place at Spurs’ state-of-the-art home ground on Saturday, September 25.

Joshua took on the Dare Sky Walk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium yesterday to get a bird’s eye view of the venue where he will be taking on Usyk in two months.

The 31-year-old was left impressed by the venue, admitting that he cannot wait to fight at what he described as an ‘unbelievable’ stadium.

This is great news as the fight, in addition to the NFL matches already scheduled for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this year, as well as the rugby and concerts scheduled for 2022, will deliver a much-needed revenue boost for the club.
