Club president admits Spurs-linked star could transfer ‘in the coming days’

Bordeaux president Gerard Lopez has admitted that rumoured Tottenham target Yacine Adli could join AC Milan in the coming days.

Tottenham are thought to be keen on adding another central midfielder to their squad this summer, with question marks surrounding the futures of Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko.

Adli is one of the midfielders who is alleged to be on the North Londoners’ radar after the youngster showed plenty of promise last season and established himself as a mainstay in the Bordeaux starting eleven.

It subsequently emerged that AC Milan were also eyeing a move for the 21-year-old and had made an opening offer of €10m (£8.4m) for the player.

It was even reported a few days ago that Adli did not train with the Bordeaux squad ahead of a potential move to the Serie A giants.

Lopez has now admitted that Milan are one of several clubs interested in the France Under-20 international, adding that the player could complete a move to the San Siro in the coming days.

when asked about Adli’s future, the Ligue 1 club’s president told RMC Sport (as relayed by GirodinsWeb): “It is not wrong to say that AC Milan are well placed and very interested in Yacine Adli.

“If (the transfer) gets done, it will happen in the coming days.

“It is true that there is interest from two clubs for Yacine Adli and other players.

“It is true that our transfer window will accelerate now with departures and arrivals. There are discussions with clubs and agents.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It is likely that Adli is just one of several midfielders on Paratici’s radar. I believe who we sign will likely depend on whether or not the club manage to find a buyer for Ndombele.

I still believe that is unlikely that any club would meet Tottenham’s valuation of the Frenchman under the current economic climate.
