Club president gives green light over £26m move for Spurs star

Tottenham Hotspur will surely be looking to invest in the summer transfer window this year after going over 15 months without making a single signing.

However, if some big money signings are to come into the new White Hart Lane, then Pochettino may be forced to offload some current stars.

One man who has been linked with an exit from North London, and from England for that matter, is right-back Kieran Trippier.

After becoming an England hero in Russia in the 2018 World Cup, Tripps returned to have a pretty poor season in a Tottenham shirt, which has led to rumours of a departure.

Both Napoli and Atletico Madrid have been rumoured to be interested in signing the full-back (Mirror).

However, a new report suggests that Napoli club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has now given the green light over a move for the player, who is rated at £26m (Daily Mail).

Gazetta Dello Sport also claims that Trippier desires a move to Napoli this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

The only way I would be open to Tottenham selling a first-team right back is if they first bring in a better replacement. I can see no further than Aaron Wan-Bissaka in this department, and if Spurs sign him up early, it will open up a possible sale of either Trippier or Serge Aurier.
