Club president says offer received for Spurs-linked striker ‘not satisfactory’

Besiktas president, Ahmet Nur Cebi, has revealed that the club have turned down offers for rumoured Tottenham target, Cyle Larin.

Larin has had a fabulous campaign for the Black Eagles, scoring 23 goals in all competitions and playing a key part in their title triumph.

The Canadian international, who prefers coming in from the left but is also capable of playing on the right or down the middle, has just 12 months left to run on his contract with the Turkish giants.

According to Sabah, West Ham saw a €10m (£8.5m) bid for Larin rejected in January by Besiktas.

90 min reported last month that Tottenham’s scouts had been impressed with the 26-year-old’s displays this season and the club had identified him as a potential replacement for Carlos Vinicius.

However, Cebi has now warned suitors that Besiktas will not sell Larin or any of their other stars unless their asking price is met.

When asked about the speculation surrounding the forward’s future, the Besiktas president told Fanatik: “There is an offer for Larin, but we do not intend to sell.

“We want to keep our squad. Ersin [Destanolgu] is also included. An offer may come from Nice.

“Players are not given just because there is an offer. The numbers we are facing are not satisfactory.”
