Club want ‘at least £13m’ to sell reported Spurs target this month – Claims journalist

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has revealed Real Valladolid have made it clear that it will take an offer of at least €15m (£13.1m) to get them to the negotiating table for rumoured Tottenham target Ivan Fresneda.

Fresneda has impressed since breaking into Valladolid’s first team back in September and his displays have seemingly caught the eyes of several clubs across Europe.

The print edition of Tuttosport (20/01/23 as relayed by Sport Witness) revealed last week that Tottenham will push ahead with a move for the 18-year-old if they fail to get a deal for Pedro Porro over the line this transfer window.

The report added that Newcastle United, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus also have their eyes on the young right-back.

Sheth has now also backed up the interest of Newcastle and Dortmund in Fresneda and suggested that a deal that could see the teenager loaned back to Valladolid until the end of the season is on the cards.

The journalist also added that the Spaniard’s decision will likely be influenced by whether he feels he can get regular game time at certain clubs.

Paratici is certainly not shy about taking a punt on up-and-coming young talents and loaning them back out so that they continue their development. So, it will be interesting to see if he explores a similar formula with Fresneda.  However, as things stand, Tottenham’s full attention seems to be focused on getting a deal for Pedro Porro over the line.
