Spanish journalist, Guillem Balague, believes Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham, is likely to be on the move at the end of the season.

The Daily Star reported last month that Spurs are interested in bringing Bellingham to North London and could make a move for the youngster in the summer.

The 16-year-old has forced his way into Pep Clotet’s side this season and his performances have reportedly caught the eyes of several Premier League big hitters, with Liverpool said to be leading the race for his signature (90 min).

The Sun have revealed that Birmingham City want £50 million to part ways with the highly-rated young midfielder.

Balague took to social media to claim that Birmingham wish to sell the teenager when the transfer market reopens in the summer, although Bellingham himself wishes to stay.

He also asserted that the midfielder is more likely to join a foreign club than another English club.

Bellingham is one of the most highly-regarded young talents in the country and so I would be surprised if we were the only club in for him when the transfer market reopens. It is a worrying trend that many young English players seem to prefer to move abroad as they believe they are less likely to get opportunities at Premier League clubs. It might force some clubs to rethink their approach to promoting young players as well as the transfer market.
