‘Colossal’ – Some Celtic fans react to goalscoring debut of Carter-Vickers

Some Celtic fans have been taking to social media this evening to share their thoughts on Cameron Carter-Vickers’ first appearance for the club.

The central defender was named in Ange Postecoglou’s starting eleven for their Scottish Premiership clash against Ross County.

With the score still at 0-0 in the 63rd minute at Parkhead, Carter-Vickers netted the opening goal on his debut when his effort took a wicked deflection before spinning over Ross Laidlaw in the County goal.

The 23-year-old moved north of the border on transfer deadline day having completed a season-long loan deal to the Hoops, which also includes the option to make the switch permanent.

The USA international caught the eye of many Celtic fans who watched on and were pleased with the effort of the Tottenham Hotspur player.

Carter-Vickers has an excellent opportunity to make the next step in his career and secure a permanent move to Celtic after countless loan spells in the Championship, it is great to see that he has began life at the club in the best possible way.

Unfortunately for him, his opportunities in North London have been limited and found himself considering down in the defensive pecking order.
