After Jose Mourinho was announced as the new head coach of Fenerbahce, it was reported by TEAMtalk on Wednesday that the former Spurs boss is eyeing a shock reunion with the Tottenham captain in Istanbul.

Jose Mourinho’s move to Fenerbahce has fuelled rumour

The report revealed that Mourinho has included the forward in his transfer shortlist and had told Fenerbahce he wants to make the South Korean one of his first signings at the club.

It was explained that the Turkish side had not contacted Tottenham yet but a deal was being ‘evaluated’ by the club.

Daniel Levy says Heung-min Son rumour is a complete lie

However, the outlet made it clear that Ange Postecoglou’s men have no intention of letting the 31-year-old leave and are optimistic that he will sign a new contract.

Sport Digitale have now stated that they contacted Daniel Levy about the possibility of the transfer and that the North London club dismissed it out of hand.

Levy allegedly described the reports linking Son with a move to Fenerbahce as a ‘complete lie’.

Even Mourinho would probably laugh if this transfer rumour was put to him. Son has made it clear that he is keen to be part of Postecoglou’s project and the South Korean is still very much in the peak of his powers, which is why he will want to have a few more years in the Premier League.

There is absolutely no way that Son would swap the Premier League for Turkey, Saudi Arabia is the destination where many players are instead heading to for one last big payday.
