‘Concrete negotiations’ – Report provides Kane contract update as Bayern and Man Utd circle

Sky Sports Germany have claimed that Harry Kane is not in a hurry to commit his future to Tottenham, with Bayern Munich and Manchester United both circling.

The last few days have seen some positive updates regarding Kane’s future, with The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealing on Monday that the striker is open to extending his deal at Spurs and that the North London club plan on holding talks with him after the transfer window closes.

The 29-year-old himself hinted on Tuesday that he will hold talks with the club over the coming months and insisted that his full focus is on helping the Lilywhites achieve their objectives this season (Evening Standard).

Sky Germany have now explained that Spurs have already held talks with Kane’s entourage and that ‘concrete negotiations’ over a new deal are expected to ‘follow soon’.

However, the publication adds that the England captain wants to ‘wait and see’ how things unfold and does not want to make a ‘quick decision’.

Sky Germany explain that Kane is still at the top of Bayern’s wishlist but the Bundesliga giants are aware that the deal will be ‘difficult’ to pull off, given the finances of the operation.

It is said that the one thing that works in the Bavarians’ favour is that Spurs would prefer to sell their talisman to a foreign club rather than a domestic rival.

The report adds that Man United also remain interested in Kane and their pursuit could be aided by the fact that the striker would rather remain in the Premier League if he leaves Tottenham.

Kane might be open to listening to Tottenham’s proposal but there is no reason for the striker to make a hasty decision. He will likely want to wait until the summer or potentially just before that to see if we get into the Champions League, and who replaces Conte if the Italian does depart.
