Confirmed Line Up: Bayern Munich vs Tottenham Hotspur

Jose Mourinho has selected his Tottenham Hotspur side for the Champions League match against Bayern Munich this evening.

Spurs head into their final match of the Group B campaign knowing that they are assured of a second place finish and their spot in the knockout stages of the competition regardless of the result at the Allianz Arena.

As expected, Mourinho has made wholesale changes to his side and decided to leave the likes of Harry Kane, Serge Aurier, Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli back in London with one eye on Sunday’s Premier League match against Wolves.

This is who features for Spurs:

Tottenham: Gazzaniga, Walker-Peters, Foyth, Alderweireld, Rose, Dier (C), Sissoko, Lo Celso, Eriksen, Sessegnon, Lucas.

Subs: Austin, Sanchez, Tanganga, Skipp, Wanyama, Son, Parrott

Opinion

Given Mourinho’s decision to inject youth into the team this evening is more about the performance than the result in the eyes of this Spurs fan.

After being humiliated 7-2 in the return fixture in North London, a similar scoreline seems far-fetched and will give the likes of Sessegnon the chance to play in European football’s top club competition.
