Jose Mourinho has named his Tottenham Hotspur side which will take to the field to face Southampton in the fifth round of the FA Cup this afternoon.
Southampton last faced Spurs in the FA Cup during the 2002-03 season, winning 4-0 in the third round – Saints went on to reach the final that season.
After losing on the south coast on New Year’s Day, Spurs will be hoping for a better result this time out.
Mourinho has only lost two games against an opponent in the same calendar month once previously, losing two Champions League games against Real Madrid in February 2002 as FC Porto manager.
Since returning to the Premier League in 2012-13, Southampton have lost six of their eight FA Cup ties against fellow top-flight opponents (W2).
Spurs face a team in form with the Saints having won six of their last eight games in all competitions and beat Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
Once again there is no room in Mourinho’s squad for Danny Rose or 17-year-old striker Troy Parrott. Despite travelling to the match, Christian Eriksen is not in the match day squad.
This is who features for Tottenham this afternoon:
