Confirmed Spurs team to face Juventus; 17-year-old starts

Tottenham Hotspur take on Juventus in Singapore today in their first senior pre-season friendly of the summer.

While Jack Clarke was sent back on loan to Leeds United, the sole remaining new signing Tanguy Ndombele travelled with the squad to Asia.

Spurs signed the Frenchman for a club-record fee of £53.8m this summer from Lyon, but this could rise to a whopping £62.8m (BBC).

The last time Tottenham played Juventus, the Old Lady knocked the Lilywhites out of the Champions League, despite Poch’s men having a commanding lead.

Spurs have come on leaps and bounds since that day though, reaching the final of the elite European competition last season, before losing out to Liverpool at the final hurdle.

Pochettino decided to leave Tanguy Ndombele out of his starting line up for today’s match, yet there is a start for the promising 17-year-old Troy Parrott.
