Tottenham Hotspur take on Juventus in Singapore today in their first senior pre-season friendly of the summer.

While Jack Clarke was sent back on loan to Leeds United, the sole remaining new signing Tanguy Ndombele travelled with the squad to Asia.

Spurs signed the Frenchman for a club-record fee of £53.8m this summer from Lyon, but this could rise to a whopping £62.8m (BBC).

The last time Tottenham played Juventus, the Old Lady knocked the Lilywhites out of the Champions League, despite Poch’s men having a commanding lead.

Spurs have come on leaps and bounds since that day though, reaching the final of the elite European competition last season, before losing out to Liverpool at the final hurdle.

Pochettino decided to leave Tanguy Ndombele out of his starting line up for today’s match, yet there is a start for the promising 17-year-old Troy Parrott.

The full Spurs line-up is as follows:

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. So Spurs have ‘come on leaps and bounds’ since they threw away the CL game against Juve in 2018? Barely scraped top four, blundered through the CL by a string of late goals and flukes, only to lose tamely against a below-par Liverpool, and now a team of habitual crocks and kids is going for revenge against ‘The Old Lady’ – I can hardly wait!
