Conte reveals name of one player who will definitely start against NS Mura

Antonio Conte has revealed that Ryan Sessegnon will start the upcoming Europa Conference League match against NS Mura.

The player who accompanies the head coach for the pre-match press conference ahead of a European fixture is often assumed to be starting, as this seems to be the case here.

Conte revealed during his interviews with the press that Sessegnon, who was in attendance, would be starting the NS Mura match. The Italian also added that he was excited to see the youngster’s performance.

It has been a tough time for Sessegnon in North London, with various injuries preventing him from any sustained period in the first-team, as well as a season-long loan to Hoffenheim.

However, he will be hoping to finally kick on this season under Conte in a formation that arguably best suits him as it includes a left-wing-back role. Sessegnon replaced Sergio Reguilon for the final period against Leeds and will now start against NS Mura.

Conte revealed (Football London): “Now he’s ready to start the game. I can’t wait to see his performance because he is a talented player with space for improvement.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

This is the perfect situation for all involved. Sessegnon needs game time and Reguilon definitely needs a rest. Both are ideally suited to that left-wing-back role so will be swapped a lot this season. Hopefully, the same with Emerson and Doherty too.
