Conte reveals what he asked Son after stunning goal against Leicester

Antonio Conte has revealed that he asked Heung-min Son which his stronger foot is after the South Korean scored a stunning goal in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Leicestrer.

Son scored twice to help Spurs ramp up the pressure in the race for a top four spot in the Premier League, with Harry Kane grabbing the other on Sunday afternoon.

Conte’s side were made to work hard for the points against a rotated Leicester team though, after Brendan Rodgers men caused Spurs plenty of problems in the opening period.

But the visitors’ rally was ended by two second half goals from Son, including a beautiful left-footed effort that curled into the top corner beyond Kasper Schmeichel.

Conte heaped plenty of praise on the 29-year-old for that moment of brilliance, but also had to ask the forward which was his preferred side after he notched his 19th league goal of the season.

He said (via Football.London): “I gave him a big hug because after an amazing goal, my question is what is your favourite foot, his right or left?

“He scored a fantastic goal and before I had said five or six minutes and I have to make a change and he scores an amazing goal.”

Spurs fans will be glad that Conte waited that extra bit longer to take Son off. It was a great goal and a bit of brilliance that we have come to expect from him on a regular basis.

Most importantly, it solidified what was an important win for Spurs in getting back on track in the race to qualify for the Champions League and should set them on a good path now.
