When asked about Arsenal’s rumoured interest in Dusan Vlahovic, Antonio Conte has insisted that he is only worried about resolving Tottenham’s problems.

Gazzetta dello Sport reported last month that Conte has informed the Tottenham hierarchy that signing Vlahovic is his number one priority.

However, over recent weeks, multiple sources (including Football.London and The Athletic) have claimed that Arsenal are the front-runners to snap up the Serbian international.

The Daily Mail even claimed that Mikel Arteta’s side are not put off by the £150m it will take to snap up the Fiorentina man this month, including the transfer fee, wages and agent payments.

However, according to 90min, the 21-year-old does not see a move to the Emirates as being the right next step for his career and will not be forced out of the Viola until he feels he is ready for a transfer.

This information has also been backed up by journalist Tancredi Palmer, who told talkSPORT this week that Vlahovic is waiting for Juventus to make an offer.

Conte has now refused to get drawn into the speculation linking Vlahovic with a move to the Gunners.

When asked about Arsenal’s interest in the Fiorentina man and Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo, the Spurs boss responded (via Fabrizio Romano): “You know, I don’t like to speak about players of other clubs.

“Also.. if other clubs are interested in signing these players [Vlahović and Arthur], I’m only thinking about resolving Tottenham problems.”

Spurs Web Opinion

All signs point to the fact that Vlahvoic would join Juventus in the summer. However, given Juve’s financial situation, they might not be able to afford to pay big money for the striker.

I think the 21-year-old will likely feel he is ready to take a step up to a club where he would be able to compete for titles regularly. That is why I believe that he will likely turn Arsenal down.

However, I also think Spurs have next to no chance of signing the Serbian unless Kane pushes to leave in the summer.
